Overwhelmingly positive response to our antiwar message at the Make America Great Again march

March 25, 2017, Clearwater, FL - The St. Pete for Peace antiwar cornering at the Make America Great Again (MAGA) march was overwhelmingly positive. Many of the MAGA participants came up to us and conversation was had that indicated most do share in our antiwar values. Shame on Fox 13 News, who was there during the most meaningful dialogue between several peace activists and MAGA marchers, but still chose to show the part where the MAGA organizer interrupted our interview. We cannot rely on the local or national media to give us an accurate account of events because they choose to spin it in ways that continue to divide the people. We must rise above this and find commonality with those we consider to be enemies, because we all have to live in this world together. Thank you to the MAGA participants who took the time to talk and engage with us. Thank you to everyone who came out yesterday to support the antiwar cause; it was an anxiety provoking, emotionally intense and exhausting event, but well worth the time and energy.
